Ardbeg Corryvreckan

Hey guys! How's it going?🙂.
.
Today we have another Islay single malt scotch whisky up for review 💨🥃🙂.
.
As a replacement for the much-loved 1990 Airigh nam Beist, Ardbeg Corryvreckan had some pretty big shoes to fill, but the good news is that it passed the test with flying colors, winning World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whisky Awards 2010.
.
Here is my review:.
.
Nose: Buttery and smoky (think bonfire), sweet but vegetal and salty at the same time. Salted caramel, leather and a hint of minty citrus.
.
Palate: Oily and spicy. Smoky (think bacon), black fruit sweet, salty and spicy (think black pepper).
.
Finish: Long and powerful. Starts sweet with smoked toffee, then turns medicinal, salty and smoked meat. A hint of bitter tobacco at the end.
.
I enjoyed this one a lot. Smoky, sweet, salty and spicy 👌🏻🥃.
.
Have you guys tried this one? What did you think of it?🙂
.
Cheers and have a great weekend!🥃✨🥃
