Created in July 2018, the "star" product GlenAllachie 12yo is a Speyside Whisky matured in two types of oak barrels, Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximenez. The GlenAllachie 12 years old is recently a multiple medalist at the Specialty Competitions.

Here's how Glenallachie describes this single malt scotch whisky:
In this era of mergers and consolidations we go against the grain; an independent, Scottish owned and managed whisky company. We chose to step away from the corporate treadmill and short-term targets. Instead, we focus on the important things; making great whisky and enjoying life.
It is in this tradition that we would like to introduce the most important release in the history of The GlenAllachie Distillers Company; GlenAllachie 12 year old, the heart of our range, a landmark bottling. Our best casks selected and bottled under the careful eye of our Master Distiller Billy Walker.
The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and natural colour.

Right. So let's see how this stacks up.
Here is my review:
.
Nose: Honeysweet, raisins and dark fruit. Almond and fresh oak, green banana.
.
Palate: Creamy honey, marzipan, banana, cinnamon, raisins and dark chocolate.
.
Finish: Medium, sweet semi-dry fruit and a slight chocolate note at the end.
.
Color: Mahogany.
.
I have to say, I quite like what Glenallachie is doing here. Definitely a solid single malt, worth buying again.

Andrei Muresan

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact). As you might expect, given my profession, I’m passionate about technology and everything that surrounds it, but I am also a great spirits fan, and when I say spirits I mean scotch, whisk(e)y and cognac, and I also enjoy a good cigar (I never say no to a good cigar). I like to mix all that with a good tune and also a good game, I own a couple of game consoles. I am, by no means, an expert in the scotch/whisk(e)y/cognac/cigar world, but I am keen on learning everything there is to know about it, so I’m launching an invitation to you, to join me in this virtual journey as we learn together.
