Aberlour 12yo Double Cask

Hey guys! How's it going?🙂.

I'm at a cabin in the mountains getaway this weekend, but I had to make time for this week's review 😉.

Today we have the Aberlour 12yo Double Cask matured 👌🏻🥃.
Aberlour whisky is always the right choice for those who want to enjoy a single malt specific to the Speyside area. The expression is matured in two types of barrels (traditional oak barrels and ex-sherry). Before bottling, the contents of the barrels are mixed to harmonize and balance the drink. The aromatic profile of this whisky is dominated by fruity notes and sweet, slightly pungent spices. Sherry influences are strong, but not dominant, which allows other flavors to shine.

Here is my review :.
.
Nose: Notes of toast with butter and cinnamon, tones of raisins, autumn fruits, wood, glazed cherries and slight charcoal influences.
.
Palate: Strong aromas of butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, raisins, nutmeg, milk chocolate and a little charcoal.
.
Finish: Medium-long, dominated by notes of chocolate, raisins and spices.
.
Color: Amber.
.
This really is a whisky after my own taste 😍🥃.

Andrei Muresan

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact). I like to mix all that with a good tune and also a good game, I own a couple of game consoles.
