Giboin L’Essentiel

I've got something different and special this Wednesday for you. We have a limited edition Giboin L’Essentiel cognac, courtesy of the good people over at cognac-expert.com
.
The cognac is a blend of 3 vintages:.
2002, 16%.
2005, 42%.
2009, 42%.
The three vintages were blended on March 23, 2021. A small reduction was done to bring the cognac to 47-48% ABV. The final reduction to 46.5% ABV was done in September 2021.
Naturally filtered rainwater.
Non chill-filtered, no filtration whatsoever.

Here is my review:.
.
Nose: Fruity with raisins, vanilla, orange zest and subtle woody spices.
.
Palate: Raisins with slight bitter tannins. Floral notes with fruity spices and woody accents.
.
Finish: Short, fruity and spiced oak.
.
Color: Gold amber.
.
ABV: 46.5%
.
Grape variety: Ugni Blanc.
.
This is a very interesting and delicious cognac and with only 100 bottles available it makes it very interesting 👌🏻🥃. It will be released in the first days of 2022 so head on over at cognac-expert.com if you are interested in getting a bottle of this very limited release! 😉🥃.

Andrei Muresan

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact). As you might expect, given my profession, I’m passionate about technology and everything that surrounds it, but I am also a great spirits fan, and when I say spirits I mean scotch, whisk(e)y and cognac, and I also enjoy a good cigar (I never say no to a good cigar). I like to mix all that with a good tune and also a good game, I own a couple of game consoles. I am, by no means, an expert in the scotch/whisk(e)y/cognac/cigar world, but I am keen on learning everything there is to know about it, so I’m launching an invitation to you, to join me in this virtual journey as we learn together.
