Velvet Fig blended malt Sherry Cask

Hey guys! How's it going?🙂.
.
As promised, here is my review of the Velvet Fig blended malt Sherry Cask scotch whisky from Wemyss Malts.
.
Composed of 15 first fill sherry barrels (from distilleries not to be named), this new edition of the Velvet Fig by the independent bottler Wemyss Malts is intensely fruity, with lush notes of currants, ripe figs, apricots and raisins, accompanied by chocolate, marzipan and toffee as well as nut and ginger flavors. The connoisseur may notice the influence of a renowned Northern Highland distillery, which is known for its good sherry casks.
.
The total edition is 9750 bottles, the alcohol strength 46%, bottled unchill-filtered and without artificial coloring.
.
Here is my review:.
.
NOSE: The nose is vibrant with red fruits, and figs, oh the figs! But also apricot. We get some marzipan, sweet but not overly sweet. Oaky milk chocolate with toffee sauce.
.
PALATE: Apricots again and of course figs! Ripe figs. Raisins, dates, spicy milk chocolate and sweet oak and nutmeg.
.
FINISH: Medium, with oaky cigar tobbaco and cinnamon.
.
This is a very delicious blended malt that deserves a lot of attention, IMHO.
.
Have you tried this one guys?
If not, I recommend it 👌🏻🥃.
.
Cheers and have a great weekend!🥃✨🥃.
