Scallywag

Hey guys! How's it going?π.
.
It's been a very hard week, I didn't have the energy to do the review on Friday yesterday, so here it is today π.
.
This time we have the Douglas Laing's Scallywag. It is a Small Batch bottling created using only the finest Speyside Malts including – amongst others – Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes. Bottled at 46% alcohol strength and non-chill-filtered, this Small Batch bottling has a distinct rich, dark colour – extracted from the many fine Spanish Sherry Butts used during maturation.
In fact, they use 40% first-fill Sherry butts in the mix, and the result is a truly charming Malt with a richly spiced character, fused with vanilla (from the bourbon casks used), sweet stewed fruit, Christmas pudding, dark chocolate, zesty orange and sweet tobacco.
.
Here is the review:.
.
Nose: Sweetly spiced character woven onto delicious vanilla.
.
Palate: Sweet stewed fruit, Christmas pudding, dark chocolate and spices.
.
Finish: Zesty orange, sweet tobacco, cocoa and rich fruit cake
.
What do you guys think about this one?π.
.
Cheers and have a great weekend!π₯β¨π₯.
