Timorous Beastie

Hey guys! How's it going?🙂.

The weekend is here, so naturally it's time for another review 😄.
.
This time we have the Timorous Beastie, blended Highland malt scotch whisky 👌🏻.
.
As put by Douglas Laing on their website:
The original Timorous Beastie, immortalised in Robert Burns’ famous Scots poem “To a Mouse” was a timid, little field mouse. Echoing our national bard’s wit, ours is most certainly not for the fainthearted!
.
Timorous Beastie captures the essence of The Highlands; a marriage of the region’s finest Malts including Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch. It is, of course, proudly without colouring or chill-filtration and bottled at 46.8% alcohol, resulting in an oily, chewy spirit that brings an incredible mouth-feel.

The expression is easy to drink and captivates with its bold and complex personality, displaying accents specific to the area where the whiskies come from. If at the beginning it presents notes of honey, towards the end they evolve in more and more spicy nuances, which cannot fail to impress a fine amateur of blended whisky.

Here is my review:
.
Nose: Rich notes of acacia flowers, dried apricots, red berries and black grass.
.
Palate: Rich and charismatic, dominated by aromas of apple, dried fruit, butter and brown sugar.
.
Finish: Long, spicy.
.
Color: Gold.
.

Andrei Muresan

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact). As you might expect, given my profession, I’m passionate about technology and everything that surrounds it, but I am also a great spirits fan, and when I say spirits I mean scotch, whisk(e)y and cognac, and I also enjoy a good cigar (I never say no to a good cigar). I like to mix all that with a good tune and also a good game, I own a couple of game consoles. I am, by no means, an expert in the scotch/whisk(e)y/cognac/cigar world, but I am keen on learning everything there is to know about it, so I’m launching an invitation to you, to join me in this virtual journey as we learn together.
