Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch No. 001

Hey guys! How's it going?🙂.

It's been a busy time for me lately, but here is me squeezing in this long due whisky review. And what a great whisky it is 🙂.

The Fettercairn Distillery embarks on an exciting new journey, with the launch of its first ever collection of small batch of single malt whiskies. The Warehouse collection pays homage to the places where Fettercairn comes of age, the 14 dunnage warehouses which boast incredible scarce treasures in the form of maturing stock.
Limited to 3600 bottles, the first in the collection, Warehouse 2 Batch No.001, brings together five different cask styles all filled back in 2010 and matured in Warehouse 2, where high humidity combined with a relatively cool and temperate environment makes its mark on the maturing spirit.
Celebrating the distillery's tropical style, achieved from the distinctive copper cooling ring distillation process, Warehouse 2 Batch No.001, bottled at a higher strength of 49,7%, promises an intriguing and rewarding experience.

Here is my review:.
.
Nose: Tropical fruit like pineapple, tangerine, but also pears, peaches, oak wood with vanilla, cinnamon, syrupy (maple, honey rhubarb).
.
Palate: Again tropical fruit like we had on the nose but also spices and woody accents. It's oily, creamy and fruity, almost like milk chocolate or latte coffee.
.
Finish: Medium with sweet fruit and spiced wood.
.
Color: Amber gold.
.
I quite like this one, it's complex yet light on the palate, a mix of spiced wood, coffee and tropical fruit.

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact). As you might expect, given my profession, I’m passionate about technology and everything that surrounds it, but I am also a great spirits fan, and when I say spirits I mean scotch, whisk(e)y and cognac, and I also enjoy a good cigar (I never say no to a good cigar). I like to mix all that with a good tune and also a good game, I own a couple of game consoles. I am, by no means, an expert in the scotch/whisk(e)y/cognac/cigar world, but I am keen on learning everything there is to know about it, so I’m launching an invitation to you, to join me in this virtual journey as we learn together.
