Ballantine’s 17-year-old

Hey guys! How's it going?π.
.
Time for another review! It is Friday afterall π.
.
This time I have another interesting one, a blended scotch whisky: the 17yo Ballantine's π₯.
.
This whisky is the most awarded 17yo blended scotch whisky in the world. The long maturation period adds depth and character to the blend. Characterized by subtle smoky notes and a velvety texture, the 17-year-old Ballantine's is definitely part of the high-quality range. The packaging is different, the glass being round, green, hinting at the slight though still present peatiness. The aromatic profile is quite complex for a blend, its notes being similar to those of a single malt.
.
Here is my review:.
.
Nose: Strong vanilla extract, smokey and oakey.
.
Palate: Sweet with strong vanilla notes. Woody and a hint of licorice.
.
Finish: Long, sweet and spicy.
.
Color: Amber gold.
.
Now, you known by know that I'm more of a single malt guy, a purist, if you will π. But I have to say, this is a very good blended scotch ππ»π₯.
.
So what do you guys think about this one? Have you tried? Did you like it? Would love to know your thoughts on this one π.
.
Cheers guys and have a great weekend!βπ»οΈπ₯β¨π.
