Glengoyne 12 Year Old

It's Friday again and we got less than 3 weeks till Christmas!🎄🎁🎅 Now that's something to look forward to 😉🥃.

Following up on the Glengoyne 10yo, I have the 12yo în review as well 👌🏻.
.
In short, the 12yo Glengoyne can be described as a perfect mix of sweet flavors and woody notes. Launched in 2009, the range is distilled from non-smoked barley, but unexpectedly for a Glengoyne whisky, it is also aged in bourbon barrels (25%) in addition to the already usual sherry barrels. The expression thus enriches its aromatic profile with mild aromas of vanilla and citrus from the bourbon barrels, as well as fruity notes from the sherry barrels and outlines a sophisticated aromatic profile, with an extraordinary balance.

Here is my review:.
.
Nose: Predominantly sweet bouquet, with notes of cereal, cookies, honeycomb and lemon peel.
.
Palate: Aroma of caramelized apple, cookies, orange, ginger, vanilla and sherry influences.
.
Finish: Dry, fragrant.
.
Color: Intense gold.
.
This is another good whisky from Glengoyne. Very smooth and sweet while still maintaining a solid level of complexity.

Andrei Muresan

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan. I’m an IT professional, born in the wonderful year of 1982, in the heart of Transylvania (for people who don’t know, the heart of Transylvania is a city called Cluj-Napoca, located in Eastern Europe, in Romania to be more exact).
