Jura 18yo

Hey guys! How's it going?
.
It's #whiskywednesday and it's time to splurge on this lovely 18yo Jura π Such a nice whisky π₯ππ»π.
.
This 18 year old single malt is matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in European oak casks, formerly used to age an undisclosed red wine. Itβs a more traditional whisky than the Seven Wood, but a well produced one.
.
I took this shot last weekend in the parc, don't you just love nature in the fall? Such wonderful colors πππ.
.
Here is my review of the 18yo Jura.
.
Nose: Cinnamon, forest fruit, sweet, fruity and spicy. Nutmeg, liquorice and mint.
.
Palate: Soft, woody, oaky with brandied cherries, orange, grapefruit, milky coffee and blackcurrant and liquorice.
.
Finish: Long. Chocolate chip cookies, orange oil. A hint of hay. Surprisingly sweet, with spice and a hint of dark cherry.
.
A very well balanced whisky, highly recommend.
.
What do you guys think about this one? π Have you tried it?
.
Cheers and have a great hump day! ππ₯β¨π₯
