Whisky tasting 2.0
Hey guys. How’s it going? A couple of months have passed since I organised my first whisky tasting, since the first one was a success, I thought it was time to organise a second one, and so we did.
The format
This time around we did not do a blind tasting, rather we did a regular tasting with four whisky expressions.
Location
The location was different, we opted for a nice cosy private room offered to us by the nice folks over at Club30+.
Whisky of choice
We had the 12yo DoubleWood by The Balvenie, the 15yo The Glenliver, the 12yo Dalmore and the blended malt schotch whisky by Dramsylvania. So we had three Speysides and a Highland.
Presentation
As done last time, I used 50ml sample bottles to serve the samples, this avoids leaving the whisky exposed to the elements until it is served and one ca savor as much quantity as one wants. Plus, the guests can take the remaining whisky in the bottles home, so it’s a win-win situation 🙂
Of course we just had to have some cigars, it could not be helped :-))
Also, a special shout out to our friends over at The Theory band for their lovely single “Whiskey” which was the “soundtrack” for this edition of the FireWater X.O. whisky tasting.
As always, check back on my site soon for new stuff, and don’t forget to visit my Instagram –> FireWater X.O. !
