Laphroaig 10yo – A best seller
The weekend is finally here, though #coronavirus is keeping most of indoors, I managed to take this 10yo Laphy out for a stroll 😉.
Created by Ian Hunter 75 years ago, Laphroaig 10yo is a classic and captivating expression, awarded numerous times in national and international profile competitions. The secret of the complex aromatic palette lies in the fact that the malted barley that enters the composition of the single malt is dried above the burnt peat. The smoke released by the burned peat gives complexity, uniqueness and expressiveness to the whisky. This is a single malt specific to the Islay area, easy to recognize after the smell and impossible to forget once it has been tasted. A splash of cold water opens the bouquet of this elegant whisky.
Here is my review:
Nose: Rich notes of smoke, algae, herbs, sweet accents and a dash of menthol.
Palate: A large, round bouquet, dominated by sweet aromas, salty notes and rich tones of smoke.
Finish: Medium, delicate.
Color: Shiny gold.
This is a solid release from Laphroaig! .
How do you guys like this one?🙂 Are you a Laphy fan? 😉🥃.
Cheers guys and have a great weekend! Stay safe 🙂👍🏻🥃.
