Blanton’s Gold Edition – A delicious bourbon
Hey guys! How’s it going? 🙂.
It’s Friday and it’s Valentine’s Day!❤️.
I decided it’s time to crack this one open. I was so happy when I found this one at the LMDW shop in Paris ☺️ this is supposedly not very easy to find.
Blanton’s Gold Edition was created especially for those who appreciate a fine and elegant whiskey. The intense taste of dark chocolate, citrus and oak, combined with spices, outlines a bourbon whose complexity competes with the finest and rarest varieties of single malt and cognac in the world. Don’t hate on me for saying that, single malt scotch whisky is still the best!😄.
Matured in white oak barrels, this bourbon is a favorite of whiskey enthusiasts worldwide.
Here is my review:
Nose: Intense aromas of honey, rye, dried fruit, vanilla, candied citrus and chocolate.
Palate: A rich aromatic profile, with notes of apricot, pepper, honey and woody tones.
Finish: Long, with caramel and pecan accents.
Color: Intense amber.
This bourbon is really good. The heat builds gradually; it’s almost nonexistent at first and then cascades into a long and slightly drying finish. For only 5% higher alcohol, the results are surprising. This is far better than Blanton’s Original in almost every way. Let me know if you guys want to see a side by side comparison 😉🥃.
Have you tried the Gold Edition? If so, how did you like it?🙂 🥃🇺🇸👌🏻.
Happy Valentine’s Day guys! Have a great weekend!🥃✨
