Gordon&Macphail – GlenRothes 11yo
Hey guys! How’s it going?
So Christmas has all but passed and I’m celebrating the last day of Christmas with a really great whisky. This is the Gordon & Macphail 11yo Glenrothes, this was a really great surprise for me, I didn’t expect to like this one so much!
Here is my review:
Nose: Sweet forrest fruits, cinnamon butter, toffee covered dark chocolate, dried fruits and spice. Fruit cake.
Palate: Again sweet sherried fruit, like raspberries and blackberries. Charred oak, orange chocolate and cinnamon and vanilla.
Finish: Medium to long. Citrus dark chocolate, orange zest, fruit cake and butterscotch.
As some of you already know, I’m a huge sherry cask fan 🙂 and let me tell you, this one did impress!.
What’s your take on Gordon&Macphail? Have you tried any of their bottlings?
Cheers guys and happy holidays!🥃✨🎄✌🏻️
