Fettercairn 12 yo – Unicorn whisky

So for this thirsty Thursday I have a great unicorn whisky for you. 😄 It’s the 12yo Fettercairn, which you can win in this month’s giveaway! Alright, now for the review:

Nose: Fresh nectarines, pineapple and sweet citrus. White flowers, black toffee, milk chocolate and vanilla with a hint of mint.

Palate: Soft and rounded taste with tropical fruit, orange, candied ginger and vanilla custard. A touch of damped oak and a hint of creamed coffee.

Finish: Short with vanilla cream and toffee. Apples, milk chocolate, orchard fruit and spice.

Producer’s notes:

Aged in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels, Fettercairn 12 Year Old is the colour of sunlight and amber honey, with vanilla, pear and soft spices on the nose and refreshing nectarine, tropical fruit and roasted coffee to taste. To finish, memorable flavours of sultanas and black toffee.

It’s a nice and enjoyable whisky, it actually exceeded my expectations 🙂.

My name is Andrei, Andrei-Paul Muresan.
