Blanton’s – The Original Single Barrel Bourbon
Hey guys. How’s it going? I finally got to have a dram after a couple weeks of business travel and sick as well ๐ And what a dram it is. This is my first Blanton’s and I can say that I really like it ๐. Paired up with this Oliva V stick, this is one delicious treat! ๐.
In the past, Blanton’s Original was intended for ambassadors, dignitaries or family and friends of Colonel Blanton. Today, the assortment can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to taste a bourbon with a special and addictive flavour. What makes this whiskey a very special one is the maturing of each batch in a single white oak barrel over a period of about 9 years. Maturing takes place in a warehouse that benefits from a metal construction and which, unlike brick deposits, transfers heat faster, speeding up the aging.
Here is my review of the Blanton’s The original single barrel bourbon ๐บ๐ธwhiskey:
Nose: Enchanting notes of vanilla, caramel, nuts, orange peels and subtle chocolate accents.
Palate: Delicate, sweet flavours, caramelised sugar, orange and chocolate.
Finish: Balanced, with accents of vanilla, honey and citrus.
Color: Caramel.
All in all, it’s a great bourbon, one of the best I’ve had ๐.
Cheers guys and have a great week ๐๐ฅโจ๐ฅ๐บ๐ธ.
