Rusty nail
Hey guys. How’s it going?
I’m back with another post, again with another mix, it’s the Rusty Nail. Don’t worry, you won’t get tetanus from this one :-))

Origin
The Rusty Nail first appeared sometime during 1937. It quickly became famous, the mix between blended scotch and Drambuie is a perfect fit 😉
Ingredients
Alright, so, for ingredients, you just need:
- 50 ml Blended Scotch – I used Nomad Outloand Whisky
- 25 ml Drambuie liqueur
- A tumbler rocks glass
- a jigger
- ice
- lemon / orange /lime peel to garnish with
And that’s it, this is a very simple cocktail to make. Now, of course the ratios of scotch and Drambuie can be tweaked for preference, this is why you will find more variants of this recipe using different quantities of scotch and Drambuie.
How to mix it
You don’t need a share for this, just pour the ingredients into a rocks glass filled with ice
- 50 ml Blended Scotch
- 25 ml Drambuie liqueur
- drop in an lemon / orange /lime peel to garnish.
And that’s it, you got yourself a Rusty Nail.

Now it’s your turn, try it ! And let me know about your experience with mixing your very own Rusty Nail 😉
